FAQ Please review the list of Frequently Asked Questions below. If you do not see your question, just ask.
How can I get more information about a particular property, view the property, or make an offer? All the information we have from the lenders is displayed on our website. To get more information, schedule a viewing, or make an offer, we now display a contact agent for each property whenever available! On the property details page below the price, click "Click Here to View Contact Info". Fill out and submit the prequal form, and below the price, you should see a contact agent for this property. Please contact them directly with any questions you may have. If no contact agent is shown, click the link at the top that says "For more information...click here", fill out the form, and you will be contacted by someone in your area who can assist you. After someone contacts you, just contact them back asking for more information about this property. If they are unable to find more information about the property, please have them contact us directly, and we will make sure that you find the information you desire! We apologize for the multiple forms, and we are currently working on a better way for you to get more information. What does a price of $0 mean? A price of $0 does NOT mean the property is free. It usually indicates that the property is so new that the bank has not yet set a price for it. If you are subscribed to our FREE email alerts, you should receive the same property under "Price Changes" as soon as the bank sets the price. Is a particular property still available? According to the lender, each property listed on our website is still available. Unlike other foreclosure services that contain many outdated listings, we remove properties from our website as soon as the bank notifies us that they are no longer available for sale. Can you please cancel my subscription to your email alerts and not charge my credit card? There is no charge for our email alerts - they are ABSOLUTELY 100% FREE! We never ask for credit card or other account information, so we cannot possibly charge your credit card. If you subscribed to the service of one of our sponsors and gave your credit card account information to them, please cancel directly with them. If you still wish to unsubscribe from our ABSOLUTELY FREE foreclosure email alerts, you may unsubscribe here. If your service is 100% FREE, how do you make money? We are 100% advertising-supported. You will see advertisements from our sponsors at various places on our website. Why am I receiving email alerts for properties that do not match my search criteria? The properties probably do meet your search criteria in a broad sense. For example, if you sign up for the city of Houston and the county of Harris, you will receive all properties that are either in Houston OR in Harris county. If you wish to search by ONLY CITY, ONLY COUNTY, or ONLY ZIP CODE, you must leave the other fields blank or set to "All Cities", "All Counties", or "All Zip Codes". To make the change, please login to your account. Why has nobody contacted me back after I filled out the prequal form? Please do not wait for someone to contact you back simply by filling out the prequal form. We recommend you contact them directly using the contact phone number shown. Many of these agents are very busy, so you may have to contact them multiple times. Can I do a zero-down loan, lease, rent-to-own, owner-finance, short-sale, trade, or arrange other non-standard purchase terms? This would be up to the owner of the property. Please follow the directions found here. Can you sign me up for foreclosures in (City, State)? No, but you can! And, best of all, it is TOTALLY 100% FREE! To sign up, please click here. I have already signed up for FREE email alerts. How do I change my search criteria? First, login to your account. After logging in, scroll down to the bottom of the page and reselect your state(s). Click the button that says "Select States". Scroll down and reselect your desired search criteria. Click "Submit Changes". Your new search criteria should then be displayed. Is it possible to search by lot size/acreage? Unfortunately, this is not currently possible. The problem is that simply not enough of the banks provide this information. However, if there is enough demand, we may try to add this feature in the future. Do you have any more pictures of a particular property? No, all of the pictures we have from the lender can be seen on the property details page of that particular property. However, we do update pictures daily, so please check back frequently. Will you accept an offer of $x for this property? Your offer will need to be presented directly to the agent representing the owner. Please follow the directions here. What does "pre-foreclosure" mean? "Pre-foreclosure" refers to the period preceding the auction of the property at the courthouse and the transfer of ownership back to the lender. This is usually the period after the bank has served noticed to the property owner that their loan is in default, but the term "pre-foreclosure" could be loosely applied to properties in which the owner is simply experiencing financial difficulty. I signed up for FREE email alerts but did not receive the confirmation email. What should I do? If you encounter this problem, your email provider is most likely AOL. AOL has been blocking our confirmation emails even though we are on their whitelist. Until this issue is resolved, please contact us and we will be glad to manually change your email address. How do I change my email address for the FREE email alerts? We have now added a way that you can do this yourself. Please click here. How do I change my account password? Please click here. What do I do if I forgot my password? Please click here. What does "Status: Lottery Round" mean? Certain properties are placed in a Lottery Round when initially listed. During this round which usually lasts for 5 days, full-time law enforcement officers, full-time pre-K through 12 teachers, and full-time firefighters/EMTs have preference to bid on these properties. If the homes do not sell in the lottery round, they are then usually made available to the general public for bidding.
